Here are some words written by Victoria's mother, Lilya Chupak, in a letter from Kiev: "I want to thank you sincerely for your kindness and for the fact that you responded so quickly and helped save our little girl. Your help camed so timely and made possible our trip to Ukraine. The money was transferred on time, and the operation was successful. Now the life of our girl is out of danger, but she will need another operation when she will grow up a bit. "

Now Victoria have 8 months. She recently took a medical examination. Doctors have determined that due to its harmonious development, the next operation will be decisive and promotes the complete removal of the heart defect.

Music therapy - a new method of treatment and communication at Hippocrates Center
Wednesday, 08 February 2012 10:44
From the ancient times was observed, that music can affect moods and can be used to communicate.

The British group La Folia, brings music closer to the hearts of people with disabilities and their families, helping them to overcome various problems, including communication.

These wonderful artists visited Moldova for the second year. They were accompanied by music therapy specialists who shared their experience of contact with people with special needs through the sounds produced by musical instruments. Western rehabilitation centers for people with special needs use successfully music therapy, which can improve and even cure certain psychological states.

Sarah Hodkinson, specialist in music therapy studied music therapy in New York and Boston, and currently offers its services to Shooting Star House, a center for children with multiple disabilities in London. Together with Alice, her colleague, they presented a theoretical and practical seminar for "Stefan Neaga" college students, Hippocrates Center and Orfeu specialists, followed by 4 practical workshops with disabled children from these institutions. One of these was dedicated to families. Thus, children accompanied by their brothers and sisters and their parents remained deeply impressed by musical instruments, and experienced a new form of communication.

Jane Ebel, La Folia project coordinator is for the second time in Chisinau. With her support, the famous violinist Ken Aiso, held in February 2nd, 2012 at the National Philharmonic a wonderful concert and a master class for strings for "Stefan Neaga" college and music academy students.

Musicians donated a set of musical instruments to Hippocrates Center. These, and the piano recently donated by Railean family from Chisinau, will serve for a new project - music therapy for children with special needs from Moldova.
