Tony Hawks, the British comedian, writer, musician and philanthropist, is closing his 2011 „Random Fun Tour”, with an extraordinary benefit concert in Chisinau organized in support of Hippocrates Center which works with disabled children from the Republic of Moldova. The bestselling author of „Round Ireland with a Fridge” and „Playing the Moldovans at Tennis”, Tony Hawks, is also the producer of the film version of both books. Hippocrates Center remains very special to Tony, as he helped establish the rehabilitation facility by donating a part of his books sales to the cause, which remains a dear cause in his philanthropic outreach. Celebrating 10 years of successful work with children, and thanks to Tony, Hippocrates Center has assisted over 1,000 chronically ill children from financially vulnerable families to date. This year, the center is currently underway in building a new, more spacious, headquarters to advance its mission to children and to diversify the services offered. To help benefit the construction, Tony Hawks is putting together a wonderful charity concert. This one-night event will be held in Chisinau at the National Philharmonics „Serghei Lunchevici”, Saturday, December 10 at 6 p.m. TICKETS can be purchased at National Philharmonics booking office. The event is supported by Rotary Cosmopolitan Club Chisinau (in establishing). All proceeds will be used exclusively to fund the construction of Hippocrates Center new headquarters. We invite you to help us promote understanding and awareness of the hundreds of children who live with special needs by attending this extraordinary concert with Tony.
