A marathon for a marathon

Stuart Taylor, Vice Consul at the British Embassy in Chisinau, had a marathon journey to get back to the UK to run the London Marathon . Owing to the flight disruption affecting most of Europe, Stuart Taylor had to drive from Chisinau to  London, a journey of about 1,600 miles taking two days and travelling through eight countries.
The London Marathon is an annual charity event, wich aims to collect donations.
This year, for the first time, Stuart Taylor decided to collect funds inclusively for Hippocrates Center. 8400 lei were collected, in particular through the participation of supporters from Moldova. The money was transferred to the  Hippocrates team by Stuart Taylor on Friday, May 21, 2010 and they will be used to organize a summer camp for the beneficiaries of the Center.
